Snow in Jerusalem

Last weekend Mike and I went to Jerusalem. Not the Jerusalem back east, but Jerusalem Utah. (If you didn't know it existed it's ok, I didn't either until we were there) It is a tiny little place with only like 5 houses and a turkey farm. If you blink while passing you would probably miss it. Our friends Mindy and Ben have a cabin there, that we went to play at. It was quite the little adventure getting there. First of all there was a terrible accident on the freeway and traffic was hardly moving. We were in the carpool lane and Mike being an honest driver didn't want to cross the double yellow lines when Ben got over. After a bit of time we realized we didn't know where they had gone. Luckily we had given them my cell phone before we left since theirs was dead. We ended up just driving to Nephi and meeting up there to follow the rest of the way. The rest of the drive was great. We got into Jerusalem and were driving on the dirt roads and all of the sudden their were snow drifts on the hill. Our little car just wasn't going to make it the rest of the way so we all piled into Ben's borrowed truck and started up the hill, mind you that was on the edge of the little mountain. We fish tailed a few times, Mike and Mindy were a little freaked out that we were going to fall off the edge, had to back up numerous times because we were stuck, but we made it to the cabin in one piece. It was not a nice warm abode waiting for us. There was tons of snow outside and the cabin was a nice and toasty 32 degrees...BRRRR. We had a good time and Mike and I went 4-wheeling for the first time. We had so much fin driving through the snow and mud. Mom I think we need a cabin for our family...and some toys! We decided to drive around central Utah for a bit and went to the Manti Temple. It is so pretty. I forget how neat of a temple it is until I go there. We walked around and would have taken some pictures if someone would have remembered to charge the battery before we left...my fault. I had never really walked around that temple before. Every time I have been there it was for the Manti pageant and the grounds are closed. We met up with another couple for dinner and luckily for me they had the same camera so I borrowed their battery for a bit on Sunday to get some proof we went 4-wheeling. Our week has been pretty uneventful since then. I did work last night and it was CRAZY!!! I didn't even get to sit down for longer than 2 seconds until 5:30 this morning. I was soooo ready to come home and go to bed today.

Looks like a lot of fun. I agree mom and dad, we do need a family cabin. We have some toys, like snowmobiles and motorcycles. Thanks again for letting us stay at your house. It was great.

It looks like you had a lot of fun. We've always wanted a cabin too. Maybe we can ALL go in together and get one? Your blog is great, keep it up!

I bet you all have a blast at the cabin! It is always an experience to travel with friends especially when they have kids. Hope to hear from you soon. ~Clarissa
