Create...

Mike showed me this video a few months ago and it has really been on my mind. I love the message that we all can create and that we all are creators. I have been looking for ways to expand my creativity the last few months and have to say it is so fulfilling to accomplish a project.
As you can probably see my latest project was re-doing my blog. I wanted to learn how the custom blogs were done. So...I took on the challenge and have to say I think it turned out pretty good. My other big project was re-doing a room in our house. I wanted to have a scrapbook room that was fun and I wasn't too fond of the characters that were on the wall. Fun, maybe but it wasn't very inspiring. I decided I would put a shelf up and bead board. My dad came and helped me and I learned all sorts of little tricks. Like who needs a stud finder when you have a nail and a hammer...and that too much caulking is not a good thing. Here is the process...
BEFORE

I don't have a finished picture yet...I am in the process of giving everything in the room a home and it is pretty messy...but when I get one I will post a picture.

That looks so goo as of now - I also like it much better than the 'characters' as you called it in the before picture ;) And I am impressed you did it by yourself...well, with the help of your dad...but still. Maybe you will have to come and show me some stuff so I can get things done around here cause Ross' time schedule for things seems to be much different than mine! LOL.
