Gender Reveal Party
On Monday Mike and I headed to the Dr. for an ultrasound. I have been looking at my baby all along at the hospital but I was so excited for Mike to be there with me and I was so excited to find out what we were having. We both have been going back and forth between boy and girl. Our baby likes to sit Indian style which makes it a little tricky to get a good view but we were able to find out.
We decided that since it wasn't a surprise announcement that we were pregnant, we wanted to have a little fun with telling our families what we were having. Last night we all got together for dinner and the big reveal.
THE INVITE

Not able to be there but on the blue team: Ryan, Broc, Wyatt, Derek, Bryce, Travis, Garret

Not able to be there but on the pink team: Grandma Hinkley, Michele, KamrynBrynli, Sadie, Aubrey. My Dad wanted to make sure that we all knew what side he was on. He was thinking of getting a pink wig but wasn't able to find one that he liked.
I had put a piece of blue or pink candy in cupcakes. We had everyone get together and on the count of three break into the cupcakes to see what it revealed. My two sisters were so fast at finding the answer, they had already started cheering while everyone else was still trying to figure out what exactly I was talking about.

THE PROOF

Here is our sweet girl.

Here is our sweet girl.
Since I am only 17 weeks the Dr. would only give us a 70% guarantee. In 4 weeks they will do a full ultrasound to check everything out.

Yeah!!!! I guessed right!!! Congrats Jodi!!! That is so exciting!
Your party and invites are so cute! The whole party is such a cute idea especially since you were kinda robbed on the whole announcement thing. I love that your dad couldn't find a pink wig he 'liked'. Why would there be a pink one he would? Haha. ;) Congrats!
Did everything look good so far?
What a fun idea. Love the cupcakes. So cute. Congrats!
Congrats! We are so excited. Kamryn wants to make it clear that he thought it was a girl. He was hoping for a boy, but he would have dressed in pink if he had gone to the party.
I totally guessed boy. What a fun party though! Congrats, it will be fun to get that final ultrasound just to be sure!!!
YAY!!! A girl cousin! So happy for you. :) How are you feeling, btw?
ps I love your blog design--very cute.
That's wonderful news!!! Little girls are the best. :)
YAY! A sweet baby girl... that is amazing. Congratulations. Girls are amazing (Granted, I am biased, but really... they are...)
